We were instructed to represent Pauline, a woman who sought to take legal action against a chartered surveyor for their negligence during a survey for a property she was intending to purchase.

The situation

The survey carried out by the chartered surveyor failed to address several issues. The flat did not have a damp-proof course, the walls were made of porous material, hollow, and needed further specialist investigation which was never advised.

How Lime helped Pauline’s case

We instructed experts to review the property following Pauline’s claim, and a Letter of Claim was submitted. We received a Letter of Response where liability was denied.
