It is compulsory for all car drivers to have valid motor car insurance in place. If you or a loved one have been unfortunate to have been involved in an accident where the car driver does not have any insurance or the driver has not stopped, then you will still be able to make a compensation claim. There is a government organisation called the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB) which has been set up to compensate victims of road traffic accidents where the driver is either uninsured or untraced.
Yes, you can. Our team of personal injury solicitors help pedestrian, who are injured as a result of non-fault accidents, to get access to rehabilitation and ongoing care, plus compensation for their injuries.
As with any personal injury claim or medical negligence claim, the time limit for bringing a compensation claim is three years from the date of your accident. To claim for a child under the age of 18, you have no time limit. However, once they turn 18 and they still haven’t claimed, they have three years from their birthday to do so.

We are usually able to offer no win, no fee agreements (also known as Conditional Fee Arrangements (CFAs)) to our personal injury clients. In ‘no win, no fee’ agreements there are no up-front costs for you and if you don’t win, we don’t get paid.

In general you have three years from the date of injury or reasonable knowledge of injury to bring a compensation claim. There are some exceptions to this rule for instance where the matter involves a child in which case the child has three years from the date of their 18th birthday to bring a claim, therefore expiring on the individual’s 21st birthday.
It is important to speak to a legal team as early as possible to avoid any issues with limitation dates.
