Mark has over 30 years’ experience in complex disputes, and is recognised as a specialist in professional negligence. An experienced commercial litigator and mediator, he is also the Managing Director of Litigation Services and Dispute Resolution for our sister brand, Shakespeare Martineau.

Mark is ranked as an Eminent Practitioner in Chambers and Partners 2024.

Mark is well-versed in mediation, having handled numerous multi-party disputes, discrimination issues and helping solve disputes involving vulnerable consumers and unrepresented parties.

Mark was formerly Chairman of Financial Services Legal LLP, created to act for independent financial advisors, networks and those giving advice within the financial services sphere.

Mark has spent many years as a Governor of a local primary school, including being Vice Chair for many years.

Mark has a diverse clientele and has represented many individuals in claims brought against them by employers or corporate bodies with whom they are in dispute.

He has a deep understanding of the need to find common sense, affordable, and workable solutions which, in many cases will give the potential for relationships to be restored or to allow the parties to go their separate ways but, in a way which benefits all concerned.

Mark’s experience has extended to a case which has found its way to the Senior Courts, where his client was successful in securing their position in a long and complex dispute. He has also been involved in many Injunctions, Search and Seize Injunctions, Freezing Orders and actions to restrain and prevent conduct causing harm to his clients, or to protect his clients’ rights.
