Medical Negligence

Maryam graduated with a Law degree from the University of Leicester before qualifying as a solicitor specialising in Clinical Negligence in 2014. She joined our Clinical & Medical Negligence team in February 2015.

Maryam pursues claims solely on behalf of Claimants who have suffered as a result of clinical negligence by hospitals, GPs, pharmacists, and other members of the health profession. She has also been involved in claims against care homes.

Maryam is appreciated by her clients for her empathetic and sensitive attitude. She is friendly, approachable, and professional at all times. She ensures that her clients are kept regularly informed throughout the duration of their claims and prides herself on delivering very high client care standards.

Maryam settled a claim involving a lady who passed away as a result of a delay in diagnosis and treatment of hyperkalemia. A failure by hospital doctors to respond to elevated potassium levels led to her suffering a cardiac arrest. Further failures by the hospital relating to emergency care sadly resulted in her death. An admission of liability was obtained before the case was settled to the satisfaction of our client.
