The situation
Our Managed Legal Services team received a call from Client (A) who was looking for advice on the terms and effects of their settlement agreement.
The team immediately referred the call to Lucy Needham, our Paralegal who works closely with Neha Thethi, our Head of Employment. During the call, Client (A) stated that they were looking for some advice on the terms of their settlement agreement, as they did not fully understand the legal jargon contained in the document.
Following the call, Lucy immediately completed the file opening process for this individual. She also sent them an email with the details for Lime Solicitors to be passed to any colleagues who also wished to engage our services.
What happened next?
Client (A) was then referred to Neha. Neha reviewed the settlement agreement before calling Client (A) to discuss the terms of the agreement. Neha advised Client (A) using plain language rather than legal jargon, to ensure that they understood the wording of the settlement agreement. On this occasion, Client (A) needed no amendments to the agreement. The full process was completed within one working day.
Client (A) was very impressed with the high level of service and therefore recommended our services to their colleagues. Across a two-day period following this, a further 20 employees instructed Lime Solicitors on the recommendation of Client (A). Neha, with the assistance of Lucy and the Managed Legal Services team, were able to provide the same high standard of service for each client whilst ensuring their matters were completed within one working day of initial instruction. Neha liaised with the Human Resources representative from the company to ensure any amendments were made where necessary.
We are pleased to report that we have been recommended by the company’s HR representative to several of their employees, resulting in further instructions from other employees.
