Lime Achieves Legal 500 Tier 1 Status

Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury teams bask in the ‘Lime’ light

Shakespeare Martineau’s Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury teams, who trade as ‘Lime’, are pleased to announce that they have been recognised by the Legal 500.

For 28 years, The Legal 500 has been analysing the capabilities of law firms across the UK and the world, with a comprehensive research programme revised and updated every year to bring the most up-to-date vision of the global legal market. It is a prestigious and highly regarded publication.

We are therefore delighted and extremely proud to have been ranked by the Legal 500 as ‘Tier 1’, the highest tier, for our Claimant Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury teams in the East Midlands. We have been found to be “highly regarded” and a “very effective” team who maintains ‘very good working relationships with experts’ and having a ‘fantastic workload’.

Not only that, but a number of our solicitors have received further praise;

With regards to our Lime Clinical Negligence Teams;

Robert Rose, Partner and head of Clinical Negligence, has been reported to combine “impeccable judgement with fantastic client skills”. His review goes on to say that he is “very knowledgeable”’ and “immensely productive”, and acts for claimants in a wide variety of medical negligence cases, including birth injury matters and injuries resulting from orthopaedic and cardiologic medical procedures.

Neil Clayton, a Clinical Negligence Partner, has been praised for “knowing his cases backwards” and for handling high-value birth and brain injury claims as well as incidents of delayed diagnosis and dental negligence cases.

And with regards to our Lime Personal Injury Teams;

Tony Hannington, Partner and Head of Lime, from our Birmingham office, has also been recognised for his work in Personal Injury, particularly his expertise in brain and fatal injury cases.

Kathryn Hart, Personal Injury Partner in Nottingham, has been acknowledged for her expertise in road traffic accidents, head injury claims and industrial disease issues.

Steven Baylis, Personal Injury Partner in Leicester, is praised for his track record in representing accident victims in traumatic brain injury and spinal injury cases.

The Legal 500 has also recognised a number of our notable cases within the teams, including our recent work acting for a claimant in a delayed cancer diagnosis case, filing a claim for asbestos exposure dating back to the 1950s, and representing a victim left tetraplegic by a head-on collision.

Commenting on the Legal 500 rankings, Robert Rose expresses “we are delighted to have been recognised by the Legal 500 with such high regard. Our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams work tirelessly to secure the best possible outcomes for our Clients and I am pleased to see that their hard work is being acknowledged.”
